You've taken the first step... If you're reading this, you're most likely struggling right now. You might be feeling anxious, depressed, low. Angry, sad or stressed by a certain situation in your life. You could be feeling stuck, with no direction and meaning. You might have lost someone important to you, either through a bereavement or relationship breakdown. Or you may be suffering from another kind of loss. Feelings of despair, fear and hurt can be overwhelming. But…you've already started to address these issues by looking for a counsellor – and that’s a huge step forward. Together, in a collaborative effort, we can look at what is bothering you and attempt to find a way through. |
I am a humanistic therapist accredited with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I run a private practice which offers face-to-face, online and telephone counselling in West Berkshire (Newbury and Hungerford) and Wiltshire (Marlborough). I have previously worked at a hospice providing counselling for bereaved relatives; as a school counsellor at a secondary school; and at two different charities which offer counselling to adults, children and young people. Difficulties I can help you with include (but are not limited to): Bereavement and loss, grief, anxiety, depression, sadness, lack of confidence and low self-esteem, relationship issues, family and work issues, existential angst and isolation, disordered eating and anger issues. I offer individual counselling to adults of all ages, as well as young people (aged 15+), in both short and long term therapy. |
